Stuck Together is a sculptural vase made for an exhibition called “Connecting Glass” at the Iittala Glass Museum in 2024. The aim for the piece was to simultaniously feel playful yet elegant. The form is achieved by attaching oblong glass bubbles onto each other while they’re still hot enough to stick together. Though extremely simple, this process is very time sensitive and requires seamless coordination from the glassblowing team. It also leaves each piece slightly varying in shape, giving it its playful character.
The end result is a real showstopper piece that can by used either way, depending on the wanted result of the flower arrangement. The vase also works by itself as a glass sculpture.
